In late 2010, I introduced the hybrid takedown longbow.  I’ve received a lot of requests for a takedown longbow and am happy to be able to offer the new model.  The 15” handle has a grip similar to the original Stalker recurve handles.  The bow has been designed so that limbs will readily interchange from one handle to another.  With the assistance of thousands of entries from the members of Tradgang, I named the three models The Bishwacker, The Scout and The Tracker.   It is available in 58”, 60”, 62” and 64” lengths.  Through 2011, there will be a $50 discount on any of the Hybrid takedown longbows during their introductory year.

In 2012, another model, with a more traditional longbow handle, will be introduced.  The limbs will interchange between the two handles.  In addition to the new handle, I plan on releasing a recurve limb that will interchange between both handles, McGyver will be envious!

Like the Surge and the Bandit, The Bishwacker has an actionwood handle and limbs.  It is available in brown or grey actionwood and in a camo version.  For an extra $25, I’ll spray a camo pattern on the limbs to compliment the handle.  The handle can be made in all action wood or for a $10 upcharge, split with solid hardwood.

The Scout is also distinguished by the chevron shaped accent stripe in the handle.   The handles are made from solid hardwood.  The limbs are actionboo core faced with veneers from domestic or exotic hardwoods.

The Tracker is in the same family as the Striker and the Banshee with its footed riser.  The 15” handle is sculpted from 1 ½” thick solid hardwood with a wide choice of woods available.
